With more than 50 years combined experience, our dedicated ShedBoss Cairns team will spend time understanding your unique requirements and engineering a custom, quality solution that meet Australian standards.

We have a loyal team of qualified tradespeople who have a wealth of experience and knowledge across the entire ShedBoss product range. We manage the build of your project from construction to completion, including coordination of all Council applications and insurances, taking the hassle out of the process.

As locals we know the unique environmental and weather conditions of the region and will build to meet your individual requirements using the most cost effective design. We are ShedSafe accredited and use quality Australian Steel.

Do I require Council approval for my shed?

In most cases, you will require council approval. Thankfully our team at Shedboss Cairns is ready to help with this process.

What are the different shed size options?

At ShedBoss Cairns, we offer a huge range of sizes to suit every need. From compact 3m x 4m to large commercial warehouses. The sky is the limit. We have a solution for every outdoor area and custom-built sheds to your needs.

How close to a boundary can I build a shed?

Generally, Sheds cannot be built within 6m from the front boundaries or 1.5m from the side/back boundaries. However, you can apply for dispensation from the council at an extra cost. In most cases, they approve the requests.

Your shed cannot obstruct the view/breeze of neighbours.

What is the wind load on a shed?

When it comes to designing and constructing a shed, the first step is understanding design wind speed. Also known as “wind load,” design wind speed is a measurement that determines the amount of force exerted by wind on a structure. It is important that this measurement be taken into account when building a shed so that it can be constructed safely and withstand severe weather conditions.

Does it cost more to increase the height of the shed?

Yes. This is due to having to upgrade the shed frames for the desired height.
